Rotork introduces the next generation Skilmatic to complete the SI-3 range of electro-hydraulic actuators

ROTORK introduces the next generation compact, reliable and robust quarter-turn designs to its Skilmatic SI-3 range of self-contained electro-hydraulic actuators. The new “small” SI-3 actuator replaces the SI-1 and 2.1 and uses a rack and pinion drive for a torque outputs of up to 1,000 Nm (737 lbf.ft), a scotch yoke version is used for the larger range up to 500.000Nm.

The SI range of actuators combine the simplicity of electrical operation with the precision of hydraulic control and the reliability of mechanical spring-return fail-safe action. Typical applications for Skilmatic SI actuators include functional safety-related Emergency Shutdown (ESD) inputs and SIL 2/3 applications.

The actuators are offered with a wide range of operating speeds, ESD inputs, partial stroke testing, analogue and digital bus communication capabilities to comply with all control configurations. Independent limit switches and position feedback are provided. Selectable status and alarm indication with volt free relay outputs are also offered as standard. Watch the product video here.
