Which valve do you choose for a process involving high pressure, extreme temperatures or aggressive substances? And how do you ensure that the valve and actuator work together perfectly? At Prodim, we tackle these kinds of technical challenges every day.

Based in Neder-over-Heembeek, Prodim is a specialised partner in industrial valves and automation. The company supports customers across a wide range of industries, including (petro)chemicals, oil and gas, food processing, pharmaceuticals, water treatment, steel and textiles. Prodim also works closely with engineering companies, machine builders and contractors. With leading international manufacturers, an extensive stock and its own technical workshop, Prodim combines in-depth product knowledge with tailor-made solutions.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for an Inside Sales Engineer who combines technical curiosity with accuracy, a strong sense of responsibility and a collaborative mindset.

Inside Sales Engineer
Your role: The technical link between customers, manufacturers and our workshop

You receive enquiries through our field sales team or directly from customers. You analyse the technical application, clearly identify the requirements and work with specialised manufacturers to find a solution that meets both technical and commercial expectations. You then take ownership of the follow-up process through to delivery.

• Understanding technical requirements. You analyse specifications such as pressure, temperature, materials, process conditions and control requirements. You ask the right questions and make sure no important detail is overlooked.
• Developing the right solution. You build in-depth expertise in one or more brands, maintain direct contact with manufacturers and translate their solutions into technically sound quotations.
• Following up on orders and deliveries. Once an order is placed, you coordinate with manufacturers, customers and the field sales team. You monitor progress, agreements and delivery schedules using our internal tracking system. Your colleagues take care of the purely administrative processing.
• Working closely with our workshop. Many products are assembled or customised in-house at Prodim, for example by combining a valve with an actuator. You clarify the technical requirements and coordinate progress with our experienced workshop technicians.

You will join a small, technically skilled team led by a team leader. Knowledge sharing is part of our daily work, while you also enjoy the autonomy to manage your own projects and customer files.

Who are you?

• A strong technical background. You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in electromechanics, mechanical engineering, (bio)chemistry or a related technical or scientific field, with a solid understanding of physics and chemistry.
• Familiar with industrial environments. Experience in inside sales, technical project coordination or the process industry is an advantage. Experience with contractors, installation companies or machine builders is equally relevant.
• Analytical and hands-on. You are solution-oriented, accurate and well-organised, with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
• Communicative and committed. You have an excellent command of Dutch and a good working knowledge of English. You are looking for a role in which you can continue developing your technical expertise over the long term.

You don't need to know everything about industrial valves just yet. A willingness to learn, strong technical insight and the motivation to develop in-depth product knowledge are just as important.

You will be based at our Neder-over-Heembeek office. As close collaboration with colleagues and the workshop is essential to this role, remote working is not available.
